Your projects stay on your computer

Your source videos, project files, transcripts, edit history and exports are stored locally. Normal editing does not send your video projects or finished videos to Simplify Edits or PrimeX Vanguard LLC. We do not have a dashboard that lets us see, monitor or control what you edit.

The waitlist is separate from your desktop projects. Joining it does not give us access to your computer, provider accounts or media. You choose what to edit, where to save an export and whether to share it.

Services you choose to use

Local storage does not mean every optional service runs offline. The current transcription and AI features use your own accounts:

• Transcription: the current build sends extracted audio to ElevenLabs to produce a transcript, using your API key. The original video file is not uploaded to our servers.
• AI assistance: your selected agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, processes prompts, transcripts, timeline information and relevant edit context through its provider under your account.
• Visual context: if you enable the option to let the AI look at frames, selected still frames may also be provided to that agent. You control that setting.

These providers have their own privacy policies, retention rules and account settings. Their processing is separate from the Simplify Edits waitlist. Your provider subscription, API charges and privacy choices remain yours to manage.

Email availability notifications

• What we collect: your email address, signup time, the version of the consent wording, and confirmation or unsubscribe status. When confirmation is enabled, we also keep confirmation times and send attempts.
• Why: to notify you when Simplify Edits is available to download and test, and to manage confirmation and unsubscribe requests. Joining is optional. We do not use this list for unrelated promotions or sell it.
• Where it is processed: The waitlist database is hosted by Cloudflare. We use Resend to deliver email. It receives your address and the message, and may process delivery and security records. We send a confirmation first; availability notifications go only to confirmed subscribers.
• Technical requests: the website uses your IP address temporarily in memory to limit abusive requests. Hosting and email services may process IP addresses, request or delivery logs, and similar technical data to operate and secure their services. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or cookies to this website.

Unsubscribe, deletion and retention

You can withdraw your email consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact us below. Unsubscribing stops availability messages and keeps your address on a suppression list so it is not contacted again. The unsubscribe page also lets you delete your address from the active waitlist.

We retain an active signup while it is needed for availability notifications, unless you request deletion. When confirmation is enabled, unconfirmed addresses expire after 30 days. Confirmation and unsubscribe dates are kept with the signup while that record exists.

Deletion removes your record from the live waitlist database. Earlier copies may remain in rotating backups until those backups are replaced; those copies are not used to send email. Email providers may retain their own delivery or security records under their policies.

Downloads, support and other disclosures

Visiting the website, downloading a build or checking for an update sends an ordinary network request to the service providing it. That service may receive your IP address and basic request details. This does not give us access to the contents of your local projects.

If you choose to send us feedback, screenshots, logs or files, we receive what you send and use it to respond. Please remove private material you do not want to share. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse or security issues.

Your choices and questions

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, withdraw consent or complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise those rights. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own address.

Changes to this policy

We will post changes here and update the date above. If the app or website starts collecting information for a new purpose, we will explain that change and request consent where required.
